All delftware animals from Dutchceramics are locally made in Holland and handcrafted by our artists. The ceramic itself had been slipcasted. This means liquid clay slip is cast into plaster moulds to get their final shape. After the first fire called the bisquefire the soft clay becomes hard as stone. Then the ceramic piece is painted by hand by
