I was watching the weather in the days leading up to the new year and it appeared the weather which brought a light dusting of snow on the last morning of 2012 would move on and clearing would start overnight

This image shows a typical day during the summer season in downtown

but you also get great days like this to enjoy the Juneau and the surrounding area

I found a location which allowed me to position the crops for the end of the growing season in the image as well as the first hints of winter on the peaks of the Mission Mountains

Aircraft Arriving Size:20"x30" the early morning light startedThis past weekend I once again spent some time exploring the plains just outside of Denver. As I was driving along I noticed an aircraft on final approach to Denver International Airport. Looking down the road I had noticed the contrast of the two fields ahead and now the plane overflying one of those fields which got me thinking. Waiting for some more aircraft to arrive I positioned myself at the edge of these fields and photographed as a Frontier
