Ornate Louis XVI Oil Gilded Mirror summer_sale crafted from rich rosewood andA Louis XVI Oil Gilded Mirror is designed in the period style, inspired by a Louis XVI girandole. The original mirror, once part of a pair, was auctioned at Christie's European Works of Art on 25th June 1997. This mirror has been hand carved from solid mahogany and gilded in metal leaf to achieve a classic finish. The frame is intricately pierced and cast with foliate scrolls, with crestings modeled as ribbon tied crossed quivers and torches adorned
