THE MAT IT IS IN WILL MEASURE 8 X 10 ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE THE TUNNEL The tunnel here in Ketchikan has a lot of stories attached to it. Most of them are not true. It was built to connect old Ketchikan to New Town. Back in the early 50's the only way around "Nob Hill" was a narrow wooden viaduct. With the new traffic brought to town by logging and the Pulp Mill it was too small
