The architectural shapes and the way the shadows and light play on the leaves makes for unique visual interest. In my creative process, I like to experiment with varying palettes and asymmetrical cropping in my compositions to breathe new energy into a familiar subject. This giant blue agave and its companion, Desert Blues II, are examples of this technique.
