This wine is a blend of approx 75% Pinot Noir grapes from the Pali Vineyard in Sonoma Coast (Southeast corner of the AVA) combined with approx 25% Pinot Noir grapes from a vineyard in the Russian River Valley that we source from each year

This shows florals and dried red cherries but there’s also lots of blueberry

Ninety percent of the juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks

Linear and elegantly structured

but a typical expression of the brutal volcanic terroir

Interesting, nutty aromas of caramelized peanuts, caramel covered popcorn, and blackberry jam with a slightly chewy, lively, moderately sweet medium to full body and a peppery, compelling, medium length sweet tarragon and milk chocolate finish with chewy tannins and light oak flavor. A complex and nutty ruby port that over performs for the category.
